The Green Education Program (GEP), supported by Kofi Annan Changemakers Initiative is designed to strengthen environmental education in Nigeria by empowering teachers, inspiring students, and connecting key stakeholders to drive lasting change.
Our Three Core Objectives
Green Educators Training
We believe empowered teachers create empowered students. The Green Educators Training equips secondary school teachers, club supervisors, and youth educators with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to teach environmental topics in engaging, practical ways.
Green Student Program
Young people are the heartbeat of change. The Green Student Program brings together passionate student leaders to learn, collaborate, and lead environmental action within their schools and communities.
Inter-State Stakeholder Engagements
Lasting change requires collaboration. The Stakeholder Engagements unite teachers, non-teaching staff, school leaders, youth advocates, policymakers, and curriculum experts to map existing gaps in environmental education and design actionable solutions.
